Childcare allowance
Childcare allowance is an allowance received from the Government as a contribution towards the costs of childcare. The amount is different for everyone. It depends on your level of income and how much you work. The number of children and the hours of daycare you purchase are also factored into the calculation. If you are still a student or are participating in a programme (e.g. civic integration), then you are also entitled to childcare allowance.
If you meet the conditions for childcare allowance, part of the expenses will be reimbursed to you. You pay the remaining part yourself. In this context, people with a lower income receive a higher allowance.
